Dancing With My Father

D&C 59
1 Behold, blessed, saith the Lord, are they who have come up unto this land with an eye single to my glory, according to my commandments.
2 For those that live shall inherit the earth, and those that die shall rest from all their labors, and their works shall follow them; and they shall receive a crown in the mansions of my Father, which I have prepared for them.
3 Yea, blessed are they whose feet stand upon the land of Zion, who have obeyed my gospel; for they shall receive for their reward the good things of the earth, and it shall bring forth in its strength.
4 And they shall also be crowned with blessings from above, yea, and with commandments not a few, and with revelations in their time—they that are faithful and diligent before me.

I am so grateful for the blessings of the Lord and the knowledge that we have the opportunity to live with our families forever and that this life is a stepping stone to the next.
My younger sister Cheryl lost her battle with cancer early this morning. While I am sad for her children, she will have the opportunity to now be healed of many things. Our father passed away from cancer when we were just 15 and 13 years old. It was always extremely hard for her not to have him around. She is now dancing with my father
I am grateful for the opportunity to have found my cancer early on. I feel very blessed to have such a great medical and personal support team. I am expecting an excellent outcome and will be dancing here for many more years.

  2. I love you mommy, I am sorry for the loss of your sister. It is a happy thought though to think of her being with your Papa. I wish you didn't have to go through all this cancer stuff, but I am grateful that you were able to catch it early and that you have been so quick to take action. Thank you for opening yourself up in your blog. I love it. We love you and support you. Big hugs! I can't wait until we are back in Utah and can see you...just a few more weeks.

  4. I'll always remember Cheryl and her vivacious, sweet spirit back when we were all teenagers together. I'm certain she's now doing exactly as you say - and is experiencing the joy of reflection upon a life well lived , and a fullness of joy looking forward to life eternal!
