Sunday we invited all the Grandchildren over to help me get ready for Chemo. We wanted to prepare them for my hair falling out. Also to let them know how they could help me by washing their hands and keeping healthy. Mark gave them a mini science lesson on what would happen with my immune system. Cindy bundled up sections of my hair into rubber bands so that everyone could help cut one off. We did discuss with them they were not to try this at home, so as to discourage any further sibling or friends home haircuts.
It was a great experience for me to feel there tender love and concern on my behalf. After they all took a turn Cindy finished the pixie cut for me.
Outstanding, Caren!! I love you with the pixie cut and with the beautiful wig--you look gorgeous! Also, what a wonderful way to prepare and include the children. You're constantly in my thoughts. Love you my friend, Kathleen
Caren, You're rockin' that pixie cut! I think it's absolutely wonderful to have involved your cute grandkids in the mini-science lesson and haircutting experience. That was tender to behold it in photos! Prayers going out daily on your behalf. Love you so much!!! Robin, Rosemary, and Family
